Heat Transfer in a Refrigeration System

Model No. HV-EXP4531

Description
Technical Description Refrigeration systems and heat pumps are similar in design, the former is used for cooling while the latter is used for heating. The compact and clearly laid out benchtop unit is a fully functional example of a typical refrigeration system or heat pump. It has a water-cooled condenser and a water-heated evaporator. The refrigerant is compressed and then transfers heat to the cooling water flowing through the condenser. The refrigerant is expanded via the expansion valve and absorbs heat from hot water pumped through the evaporator. The hot water is heated electrically in a collector. The heat transferred from and to the water circuits can be determined with the aid of temperature and flow rate measuring devices. The unit requires a supply of cooling water..
