Engine Test Stand 11kW- Engineering Lab Training Systems

Model No. HV-EXP3225

Description
Technical Description- Engineering Lab Training Systems Setting up a power test stand for internal combustion engines with a power output of up to 11kW requires two main components:. The control and load unit and a choice of test engine: single cylinder research engine (water-cooled), 2-cylinder petrol engine (air-cooled) and 2-cylinder diesel engine (water-cooled). The main function is to provide the required braking power. This is generated by an air-cooled asynchronous motor with a regenerative feedback unit. The braking speed can be precisely adjusted using a potentiometer. The torque is measured indirectly using a force transducer. For this purpose, the entire brake system is mounted in floating bearings. The test engine is mounted on the test bed and connected to the asynchronous motor. The asynchronous motor is initially used as the starting mechanism for the test engine. As soon as the test engine is running, the asynchronous motor and regenerative feedback unit act as a brake unit for applying a load to the combustion engine. The braking power is fed back into the electrical system. The lower section of the mobile instrument panel contains fuel tanks and a quietening vessel for the intake air. The panel contains digital displays for the speed, torque, air consumption and temperatures (engine cooling water - inlet and outlet - exhaust gas, fuel and intake air). Fuel consumption, cooling water flow rate in test engine and the calorimeter available as an option are displayed in analogue form. All measuring signals are present in electrical form and can be stored and processed using the PC data acquisition function supplied. Data is transmitted to the PC using a USB interface. Lifting gear is required to exchange the test engines.
