The unit consists three rotating cupsmounted on ends of three armssupported as the top of a vertical shaftwhich rotates with very little friction. Theassembly is mounted on a metal basewith two bindingposts. The prevailing wind turns the windcups through internal shaft and theresulting torque is transmitted to aelectrically signalling flash light unithoused in a light metal case, fitted with adry cell battery and ON/OFF switch. The anemometer issupplied in case with flash light unit, five meter lead wire andinstructions for its use..
