Infrared Moisture balance is very reliable and sturdyinstrument for accurate determination of the moisturecontents of materials which do not under go chemical changewhen exposed to infrared radiation. Since drying andweighing of the samples is done simultaneously. theinstrument is especially useful for substances which quicklyreabsorb moisture after drying. The Instrument consists of a 250 Watt infraredlamp, a sensitive torsion balance, and an auto transformer(Regavolt) all housed in a compact cabinet made ofaluminium, having robust design. The infrared radiation fromthe lamp is used for heating the sample. The temperature iscontrolled by the Rego volts.
