HoveLabs SCHMIDT Type N Test Hammer for Concrete
Model NDT005
DESCRIPTION:
HoverLabs SCHMIDT type Test Hammer is used for
non-destructive testing of concrete Measuring range of this device for testing
compressive strength of concrete is 10 to 70 N/mm² (below 25 N/mm² type P is
better suited) and Impact energy = 2,207 Nm. Rebound values can be observed
from a mechanical sliding scale. It is the only instrument to make use of
rebound principle for concrete testing.
SPECIFICATION & FEATURES:
It has a spring-controlled hammer mass which slides on a
plunger enclosed in a tubular housing. Against the surface of the concrete, the
hammer is forced by the spring and the distance of rebound is measured on a
scale. The instrument must be calibrated in horizontal, vertical or any other
angle at which the sample is positioned. This type of hammer provided by
HoverLabs supports an inexpensive, simple and quick method of finding an
indication of concrete strength. Factors like smoothness of surface, shape and
size of specimen, type of cement and coarse aggregate, moisture condition of
the concrete, and extent of carbonation of surface. The Hoverlabs Schmidt
Hammer, Type N with a N/mm^2 scale instead of psi. The whole pack includes a
grinding stone, carrying case and an instruction booklet with conversion
charts.
