We are involved in manufacturing and supply of Critical Radius of Insulation material. With this apparatus, the fact is studied that at particular radius of insulation over a cylinder, loss of heat is maximum. The unit comprises of a G.I. pipe coated with plaster of Paris insulation on outside surface. The unit has four pipes with a heater inside having input control. Input to the heaters is calculated by shared voltmeter and ammeter. By putting control over the input to heaters, it is shown that critical radius of insulation is ratio of thermal conductivity and outside heat transfer co-efficient.
