The Instrument is used to find and check the Bitumen percentage in Bituminous mixes, the mixture is added with a solvent and dissolved bitumen is removed with the help of centrifugal action.

SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES:

The device consists of a removable Aluminium rotor bowl with capacity 1500 gm. It is provided with a cap and tightening nut. The bowl assembly is mounted on a vertical shaft, which protrudes from cast housing. Solvent is added during the test through the holes in the cap of the housing. A drain is provided to collect dissolved Bitumen rushing out of the rotating bowl which gets collected in the housing.
